Growing up in a coastal surfing town in Florida, David was raised by a single mother who worked in property sales and time shares. Door-knocking, handing out beach flyers, surfing, and assisting with storefronts were all a normal part of his childhood.
By the age of 14, David was working in construction and landscape design, where he gained an early appreciation of real estate’s ability to transform people’s lives and their surroundings.
David went on to spend over ten years in the hospitality and restaurant industry, earning a solid reputation as a professional chef.
In 2016, with the encouragement of his mother, he hung up his apron to return to the business that raised him.
After training on the east coast, David struck out on his own, moving to Hawaii with the dream of building his own real estate career in an environment that matched his passion for an ocean-centric lifestyle.
David built his business in Hawaii from the ground up the way he learned in his youth: forming relationships with people one by one, assisting clients with the purchase and sale of land and homes on both Oahu and the Big Island.
In 2022, David joined Wai Pacific at Compass as their lead agent in Kailua-Kona, where he now oversees client needs across all of West Hawaii.
David’s specialties include Buyer representation, Resort and Vacation homes, and condominiums.
A trained surfing instructor, David also happens to be an expert in fish ponds – specifically, the prized art of raising Koi. When he’s not working with clients or out on the water, he can be found assisting and consulting on some of the most intricate Koi systems in the islands.
